  11. Thanks for your input.  I checked out the Microcom and it's a 
  12. real treat.  I'd be sold if it weren't for the size.  
  13. Unfortunately, my requirement are that it be about the size of 
  14. the optima 288, which I'm currently looking at.  Connect rates 
  15. seem to be the same with Microcom/Hayes.  I have turn around 
  16. lines which allow me to dial Mass/ Calif/Mass and I get a 
  17. constant 21.6 on either one.  The cheaper stuff gives me about 
  18. 14.4.
